Teaching The Teacher!

Rosemary’s session started with a style questionnaire, body measurements and style tips to balance out her body shape. She may be a retired school teacher but she’s still learning!

We snapped her before photo and critiqued it for her. Let’s start from the bottom and work up.

1) We didn’t like the heaviness of her before shoes so we pulled out another pair from her bag to show her how her lighter coloured ones elongate her leg line.

2) At her petite height, Bermuda shorts are a much better alternative than Capri pants. We pulled hers up to give her a visual.

3) Create a waistline and lose the rectangular shape by adding a thin belt.

4) We balanced out her hips by adding small shoulder pads. Shoulder seams should sit on your shoulders but her ill fitting top did not. To have great style, you must have fit!

Notice in this after photo how Rosemary has a longer leg line and a more feminine, curvier silhouette.

Rosemary took great pride for always getting compliments for looking younger than her years and so she should. She wants to maintain that great feeling of having a more youthful appearance.
